Brief description of how you came to own this car and little history on it :
In 1985, I purchased my ’69 Road Runner for $400. It ran and drove and was a fun high school car. It had sat in a field for 10 years after spending most of its life as a drag car. It only had 42,000 miles on it, but was in very rusty condition. I scrapped together some money and had a Bondo restoration done by a Chevy guy who ripped me off.
Then, 15 years later, I finally had the car completely restores by Dukes Body Shop of Warsaw, MO. In the last 3 years, it has been to many shows, cruises and events. I should have never restored this car because of its bad condition, but it was sentimental favorite, so I am really glad I did. It is now my pride and joy. My family and I really enjoy it, my son’s all fight over who gets to ride in the front seat with me. We have two more ’70 Road Runners we want to restore in the future.
I’m a charter member of HPAC. My wife Michele and my three boys are active members who go to multiple club activities. We hope you see our car soon and hope to see you and your car soon..
