Brief description of how you came to own this car and little history on it :
My dad bought the car new in August 1967 to include the 375hp 440 Magnum, now it has about 89,000 miles. He wrote the order to include the 440, which I still have, but the dealer didn’t know the correct sales code to send to Chrysler. This was the only ’68 Imperial delivered to this dealer w/ these extra options. A shame. I bet I would have the only ’68 imperial with an “L” code 440 on board, as these engines were available on the Jefferson Ave. assembly line. I used it every day to work, salt took its toll on the lower quarters which then needed new metal body work. Hasn’t been rained on since 1990. It is garaged always next to my ’68 convertible Imperial of the same color.
